Ana Reyes-Ouzts on the Loving Life Fitness Podcast

Ana Reyes-Ouzts shares her story of a successful weight-loss journey and how her choices business and networking have led her to inspire and help others. This is a story of a mom, a paralegal turned spin instructor, turned entrepreneur and image consultant, make-up artist and she also runs a women's networking group called Bold Ladies in Business of Flagler County.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, to Cuban immigrant Parents in the late 50s, life was challenging in New York. Ana did not realize this growing up because she had great memories of growing up in Brooklyn. Her family headed to South Florida in the late 60's to start a new journey. She went there from middle school through High School and Community College. She thought she wanted to be a teacher but eventually ended up by default in the Legal Field, where she was a Legal Assistant for over 25 years. She is honored to have had the pleasure of working with some of the best lawyers. With the help of the attorneys she worked for at the time, she wanted to be an entrepreneur so badly. She became a Bail Enforcement Agent. She worked in that business with lots of passion, and when she was ready to cut loose and be her own boss, the economy went belly up. She was also working as a Spinning Instructor for over 14 years. She was Ready for Plan B.

Fast forward, Ana had a friend that talked to her about being part of Mary Kay. Since she loved makeup and fashion so much, she thought it would be a great fit. I said, “I’d give it a year to see where I landed.” Much to my surprise, she became a Pink Cadillac Sales Director, leading an incredible group of women into a $500,000 Unit! She was hooked on being her own boss. She was able to walk away from the legal field for sure! She learned leadership skills and life skills to last a lifetime at Mary Kay.

Ana was always fascinated by fashion and makeup, so in 2016, she decided to give fashion a shot as a Stylist with a great company. She loved everything about it. A couple of years down the road, her and her husband decided to head north to Palm Coast, where he retired from a 30-year career as a firefighter. She continued to work her business, but technically starting over, trying to find new clients with her business. She began a networking group in her home with business women to help them promote and help with her business. When COVID hit, it was all over, even the business she was passionate about. Sadly, she felt extremely deflated.  During this time, her sister and parents also moved to Palm Coast. Her sister was retiring as a teacher and starting up her photography business. She said, “you need to help me get this started”! “Let’s restart your networking group.” – Mind you, in the middle of a pandemic, they launched the now very popular Bold Ladies In Business on June 2020 with about 10 -12 ladies. The rest is history, as they would say.

We are 2,000 plus strong and amazing Bold Ladies. Our core values are to empower Women every month, make connections on a deeper level, help one local charity, and spotlight one local restaurant every month! This is a win-win situation. "I am proud and honored to be part of this and make a difference in our community. The Bold Ladies are rocking in every way they can." She revamped herself with two on-line businesses: makeup and fashion. She is an Image Consultant. My motto: “I take you from drab to fab and into Diva Status!” Lastly, don’t be afraid to take that leap of faith and start something new or to revamp yourself.
